Arrest Made in Brampton Home Invasion: Firearm Seized

Peel Regional Police have apprehended a suspect believed to be involved in a violent armed home invasion that occurred in Brampton last November.

According to investigators, the incident took place near Sandalwood Parkway and McLaughlin Road on November 25, 2023, when four individuals forcibly entered a residence, demanding cash and property. During the invasion, a firearm was discharged, and one of the occupants of the home was assaulted with the weapon, sustaining minor injuries.

Following the incident, the suspects fled the scene with stolen property, while the injured victim received medical attention.

After a thorough investigation, police executed a search warrant at a Brampton address, where they seized a 9mm firearm, ammunition, and suspected illegal drugs.

Kashaun Grenier, a 21-year-old resident of Brampton, has been charged with several offenses, including robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise, and breach of probation. Investigators noted that Grenier was under a weapons prohibition due to previous convictions for firearms possession at the time of his arrest.

Additionally, a second individual, Brenna Nash, 26, also from Brampton, was arrested during the execution of the search warrant. Nash is facing various charges related to weapons and drug offenses.

The arrest and seizure of the firearm mark significant progress in the investigation, underscoring law enforcement’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the community.
