Mississauga Summer Road Closures: Plan Your Route Wisely

As summer approaches, road closures in Mississauga are already causing delays for drivers, according to updates from the Ministry of Transportation. Here are the closures to be aware of:

  • All lanes closed on the Highway 403 westbound off-ramp at Hurontario Street until 6 a.m.
  • Alternating lane closure on Highway 401 westbound express between Mavis Road and Winston Churchill Boulevard from May 27th to June 1st, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • One lane closed on the eastbound QEW between Erin Mills Parkway/Southdown Road on May 27th-28th, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • All lanes closed on the eastbound QEW on-ramp at Mississauga Road until September, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The CAA is cautioning drivers about the increased risk of accidents during warmer weather, urging them to exercise caution even when conditions seem favorable. Transport Canada statistics indicate that two out of three fatal collisions occur during dry conditions, highlighting the importance of staying vigilant on the road, especially during the summer months.
